Invoicing for a cleaning business
Cleaning clients want to see what they paid for at a glance. List the main service, then each add-on as its own line. That also makes it easy to upsell next time ("want the inside of the fridge again?").
- Standard or recurring clean: flat price per visit, or hours times rate.
- Deep cleans and move-in/move-out cleans: usually a higher flat rate.
- Add-ons: oven, fridge, windows, laundry, baseboards, carpets.
- Supplies: note whether they're included, or bill them separately.
Recurring clients
For weekly or biweekly clients, you can send one invoice per visit, or one per month listing each visit date. Monthly invoicing means less paperwork for everyone. Just put each date on its own line.
Cleaning services are taxable in some states and not in others, so check your local rules before adding tax.
